Pato doubtful for Arsenal clash

Pato's injury brings uncertainty over his CL debut for Milan

Alexandre Pato's injury has brought up another worry for Milan after the injury of Gennaro Gattuso. After scoring the only goal in the match against Fiorentina on Sunday, he had to leave the pitch due to ankle injury.

Though both players are currently injured, Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani stays optimistic. In an interview for Skysports he said "I have spoken to the doctors. Our hope is to have him (Pato) available for the game in London. Gattuso has a thigh problem. We will have to speak to the doctors but we hope to have him back next week."

The 18-year old striker is having quite a start for Rossonero's, scoring four goals in six matches after being bought from Internacionale for a fee of €22 million euro this winter.

On the other hand, Arsenal's Robin Van Persie has been out almost three months this season and is very likely to miss the first leg, with Tomas Rosicky and Manuel Almunia returning to full training in the next days.
