Anderson ready to prove Brazilians can shine in EPL

Brazilian prodigy Anderson is determined to prove that Brazilian players can flourish in the English Premier League.

Anderson was recently granted a work permit to play in England and is looking forward to the next season, after clinching a move from Portuguese champions Porto to Manchester United for a staggering 30 million euros: "This is a dream move, one I could not reject. The chance to play with Cristiano Ronaldo was enough to bring me to United - he is a worldwide star. I can't wait to set up a goal for him. He is a spectacular player who has improved so much at United and I want to do the same. I am still very young and I have a huge desire and hunger to play for Manchester United. I would be proud to play alongside him and prove that Brazilians can flourish in the Premier League. I will be a strong player," said Anderson, who is currently with Brazil at the Copa America in Venezuela.

Anderson de Oliveira grew up at the famous Gremio Porto Alegre youth academy, so it was impossible to evade the comparison with the most famous player to come out from that club – Ronaldinho. "I am my own man and do not want comparison with players like Ronaldinho because he is the king," added Anderson, who will link up with another young starlet from the Portuguese league Luis Nani.
