Bolton striker Nicolas Anelka has put an end to speculations regarding his future by signing a new four-year contract with Bolton.
French striker has been linked with a move away from Reebok Stadium for much of the summer, but has eventually agreed to pledge his loyalty to the Premiership side after agreeing on extending his contract until 2012. "It is a fantastic boost for the club and our supporters that Nicolas has agreed to stay with us. We have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get him to commit his long-term future to us. Nicolas is one of the world's best strikers and I am immensely proud and happy that he has shown such commitment to the club," coach Sammy Lee told the club's official website.
Anelka has been strongly linked with a switch to Manchester United and Valencia during the recent weeks.
