Batistuta Wants To Coach Argentina

Published: 05 July 2008

Former Argentine international striker Gabriel Omar Batistuta has declared that he would only consider the job of coaching the Argentine national team coach and not any club sides.

The former Fiorentina striker said:
“If they call me from the national team, I will say yes, because there are other motivations. If a club want me, and there is enthusiasm because there is organization, there would be no problem, I'll go.

"But where is there a team who are looking for a coach with those conditions?"
But Batigol does not want to start coaching right now. He remarked:
"To get involved in that (coaching) would be silly. I find other pleasures, and as well as this, I have just come out of football. I still have to clear my mind.

"Maybe in ten years I would like to. But for now I don't need to be a coach."
