Former Italian international Fabio Bazzani will play for Livorno next season, claimed Amarento chief Aldo Spinelli. Arrival of Sampdoria's striker fuels the speculations that Livorno's top scorer Cristiano Lucarelli is leaving Toscany after the end of the season.
According to Livorno president Aldo Spinelli, Fabio Bazzani already signed a deal with Amarento: "The only concrete signing we have made for next season is Bazzani. The player is out of contract now and he will become one of our squad members for the 2007-08 campaign," claimed Spinelli, who refused to comment rumours that Cristiano Lucarelli is leaving the Tuscan side for big guns Inter. 31-year old Lucarelli is reportedly unsatisfied after a break-up with Spinelli and the fans which angily responded to the rumours that Lucarelli "is seeking a move to a bigger club." Bazzani, former Italian international, enjoyed a succesful period at stadio Luigi Ferraris scoring 31 goals in 83 appearances.
