Rolando Bianchi claimed that Italy's Serie A is still the best league in the world, despite his move to Premiership side Manchester City.
Bianchi enjoyed a superb debut in England, scoring the goal in the opening match at West Ham United, which ended in a 0-2 win for City. Bianchi started the match against city rivals Manchester United on the bench, but entered the match in the second half to replace Brazilian Elano. Despite troubled times in Italian football, Bianchi remains convinced that Serie A is the strongest league in the world: "It is wonderful to score on my debut, but that is not enough. I don’t want to be a flash in the pan in England, I am eager to leave my mark. Clearly I miss Serie A, which remains the best league in the world, but the Premiership is a great stage for me to show my worth," he said.
