What do the stars drive?

The most impressive automobile collection in football is without question the garage of the first man of England – David Beckham. Becks fascinates us with his outstanding personal style which goes well with his collection of cars that include an Aston Martin Vanquish S worth 250.000 Euro, a Hummer H2 jeep, similar to that used by American Marines, an SUV Lincoln Navigator 4x4, a Range Rover, a GMC Yukon, a Lamborghini Gallardo and two prestige limousines, the Bentley Arnage and Rolls Royce Phantom. Rio Ferdinand swears by Bentley beauties, and reserve goalkeeper of the English national team David James prides himself upon a real jewel, he drives a luxurious Ford GT. The Ex-coach of the English national team, Sven Goran Eriksson swears by Swedish quality and he remains true to his Volvo YC90 SUV.

Frenchman Thierry Henry can boast of cars worth in excess of 1.5 million pounds, but the Arsenal forward is most proud of his McLaren SLR, which can reach a top speed of 334 km per hour. This model is generally very popular among French players – William Gallas and Claude Makelele are also among its proud owners. Meanwhile, Italian stars usually swear by Ferrari or Lamborghini. Among the most inventive is Alessandro Del Piero, he got himself a Lancia Delta Integrale adjusted to rally specifications.

Real Madrid stars like Raul, David Beckam, Robinho, Roberto Carlos and others have to be satisfied with driving sponsorship Audis' (Q7, TT, A8), whilst young Spaniard Cesc Fabregas drives a not very reputable – at least compared to some others - Audi A3, despite the millions of pounds his contract with Arsenal earns him. Among the ‘poor’ we can also place former German national coach Jurgen Klinsmann who swears by a 1967 Volkswagen Beatle and Italian defender Alessandro Nesta who says he can most relax when driving his Golf Cabrio.
