Uefa have released the short lists of stadiums bidding to stage the 2010 and 2011 Champions League and Uefa Cup finals.
Several prominent stadiums have launched a bid to stage the 2010 and 2011 finals, along with Valencia's Nuevo Mestalla stadium which is to be completed by 2009. Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu is also among the contenders as it remains one of the few most famous stadiums across Europe which hasn’t staged a Champions League finals for nearly two decades.
UEFA Champions League: Fußball Arena München (Munich, Germany); Mestalla (Valencia, Spain); Olympiastadion (Berlin, Germany); Santiago Bernabéu (Madrid, Spain); Wembley (London, England).
UEFA Cup: Arsenal Stadium (London, England); Arena AufSchalke (Gelsenkirchen, Germany); Olímpico de Montjuic (Barcelona, Spain); Arena Hamburg (Hamburg, Germany); Lansdowne Road (Dublin, Republic of Ireland); National (Bucharest, Romania).
