Juventus' star Alessandro Del Piero finally put an end to speculations regarding his future after extending his contract with the Italian club until 2010.
Recent reports in Italian media suggested that Del Piero is close to leaving Juventus after failing to reach an agreement over a new contract. Del Piero's contract would expire next summer and several Serie A clubs including Palermo, Fiorentina and Serie B outfit Brescia expressed interest in signing Juve's icon, but in the end Del Piero decided to stay in Turin after extending his contract until 2010. : "I signed the contract until the rest of my football career. I love Juventus and that is why I am staying here," said Del Piero.
