Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has been presented with the Premiership Golden Boot award after finishing the season as top scorer with 20 goals. Ivory Coast star collected his first Golden Boot award since joining Chelsea in 2004.
Didier Drobga is filling his wardrobes with silverwere recently as Chelsea striker now received an award for the best scorer in the Premiership. Former Marseille star, who was recently presented with an award for the best player in Africa, scored 20 goals this season which was enough for his first Golden Boot award trophy. 29-year old Ivory Coast ace was followed by his African fellow Benny McCarthy who finished his first season in EPL with 18 goals. PFA player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo was third with 17 goals, while last year's top scorer Thierry Henry whose season was largely hit by injuries scored only 11 goals last term. Drogba is the first Chelsea player who won the award after Dutchman Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who won the Golden Boot in 2001.
