Disgruntled fans of Austrian national teams launched an online petition to prevent Austria to attend the European Championsips next summer.
Austria are along with Switzerland automatically qualified for the European Championships next summer, but opposing to belief that a spot in Europe's prime tournament would cheer the fans, a section of unhappy fans of the Austrian team contrarily believe Austria shouldn't be allowed to participate in a tournament of that kind. Petition has been published on Austrian website, where the authors wrote a letter explaining the reasons behind their awkward call:
"Dear Friends. Your visit on this website proves that you like attractive football. Your visit means that you enjoy in dazzling dribbles and that you are jumping of joy when someone scores a goal from a free kick. In conclusion, your visit means that you love this fantastic game and that you appreciate it's beauty. However, this also means that you feel the depression when you watch a match of Austrian national team. Moments of glitz mentioned in the above lines happen just as frequently as meteors hit the Earth though."
Austria is currently taking the 85th spot in Fifa's Rankings, only five places above their worst ranking in history. Austria failed to win in last eight matches and have lost last two home friendly matches against Scotland and Chile.
