Brazilian star Ewerthon completed his move to Bundesliga champions Stuttgart on a one-year loan deal from Real Zaragoza.
The 26-year old forward finally completed his long-awaited move to German champions Vfb Stuttgart, who snapped up the former Borussia Dortmund star on a one-year loan deal with the option of a permanent transfer. Ewerthon lost his place in the first-team at Zaragoza last term following impressive performances by local hero Sergio Garcia and was further distanced from first-team action following the arrival of countryman Ricardo Oliveira from AC Milan. Ewerthon scored 21 goals in 69 matches in Spain including some dazzling displays, such as the 2005/06 Copa del Rey clash with Real Madrid when the Brazilian scored a stunning goal in an unforgettable Zaragoza 6-1 win.
"It’s a dream to be able to play in the Champions League for the German champions in the new season. I’ll do all I can to help Stuttgart continue their recent success,” Ewerthon said after formalizing his return to German football.
