West Ham United have signed Bordeaux French international midfielder Julien Faubert for a reported fee of 9 million euros.
Julien Faubert is the latest signing at Upton Park, after West Ham sealed the move for highly-rated French international, who can cover both central defence and midfield. Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers had their bid for the 23-year old rejected few days ago, allowing West Ham to move in and capture his signature: "I am delighted to welcome Julien to Upton Park and feel sure that he will become a very successful signing for the club. He is one of the most highly-rated young players in European football and many clubs were attempting to sign him, so we are very pleased that he has decided to join West Ham United," West ham chairman Eggert Magnusson told the club's official website.
Faubert become second Alex Curbishley signing following the arrival of Newcastle United's midfielder Scott Parker.
