Independiente on-form forward German Denis scored a double in 3-0 win against Gimnasia Jujuy to keep the Red Devils on top of Argentine's Apertura.
German Denis took his season tally to incredible 15 goals from 12 matches, scoring his sixth brace on Tuesday against Gimnasia Jujuy. The Red Devils have 25 points, five more than second-placed Boca Juniors who face champions San Lorenzo on Wednesday.
After a goalless first half, Denis broke the deadlock when he rose majestically to head home from Ismael Sosa's cross in the 53rd minute. Carlos Matheu added the second in the 84th minute and Denis completed the scoring with a last-minute penalty.
