Rossi eager for a chance at Man Utd

Giuseppe Rossi reminded Sir Alex Ferguson that he might be the forward that Manchester are desperately looking for this summer.

20-year old Italian was decisive in Parma's relegation battle but despite speculations that linked him to a switch to Juventus, Rossi asked for another chance at Manchester United. Rossi's future remains in doubts as Parma still hasnt' negotiated with Manchester about the extension of his present loan-deal which runs out this summer. Rossi is widely speculated to follow Claudio Ranieri at Juve, but the player himself said that proving his worth at Manchester United remains his priority: "Joining Juventus is just talk. I've read about it once or twice but it's not on my mind. All I will say is that my main goal is still what it always has been - to cut it with Manchester United," Rossi told the English media.

New Jersey-born striker is currently with the Italy squad in the Uefa U-21 Championships and is expected to have his first start in tonight's clash with the Czech Republic. Few weeks ago reports from Portugal claimed that Manchester United could use Italian as part of the deal for Brazilian Anderson, who recently signed a contract with new English champions.
