Thierry Henry is set to become France's all-time top scorer after scoring his 41st goal in Saturday's EURO 2008 qualifier against Faroe Islands.
Henry, 30, made it 41 goals for France in 95 appearances Saturday. The former Arsenal striker moved level with the legendary Michel Platini after finding the target in the 6-0 thrashing of the Faroe Islands on Saturday.
"It's extraordinary to join a player like him (Platini) because his name carried the dreams of all of France," Henry said.
Henry grabbed his team's second goal just seconds after Nicolas Anelka had opened the scoring for the visitors early in the first half.
Barcelona's forward will be able to set a new record on Wednesday, when France host Lithuania in Paris.
