Federico Insua leaves Germany for America

Former Boca Juniors midfielder Federico Insua left Borussia Monchengladbach and signed for Mexican giants America from Ciudad de Mexico.

Federico Insue is another high-profile star to be earning his trade in Mexican football league, which is often referred to as the richest in the Latin America. Former Boca Juniors star became the most expensive signing in history of Borussia Monchengladbach last season, when the German club splashed 4 million euros to lure the attacking midfielder from Boca Juniors. Insua decided to break up with the German club following their drop to the second division and will resume his career at Mexican giants America: "We all did our best [for the deal to go through], and I am motivated to triumph like I already have in many other clubs”, Insua said.

America are stepping up the attempts to add another Argentine jewel to their star-studded lineup, as it was reported that Mexican giants already launched an offer to Velez Sarsfield to sign former Lazio winger Lucas Castroman.
