Ivorian striker Bonaventura Kalou has left French side Lens only six weeks after joining the French outfit from Ligue 1 rivals PSG.
29-year old forward has signed for PSG at the end of July for €1.5m, but has surprisingly left his new club only six weeks later after agreeing on a switch to UAE side Al-Jazira Club. Al-Jazira have matched the €1.5m that Lens paid PSG, taking advantage of regulations stipulating that although European clubs cannot buy new players following the closure of the transfer window, that does not apply elsewhere. Kalou will play alongside former PSV Eindhoven midfielder Phillip Cocu at the United Arab Emirates side.
