Sheffield United chairman in for Ferencvaros

Chairman of Championship side Sheffield United Kevin McCabe has confirmed that he is interested in buying Hungarian club Ferencvaros.

Famous Hungarian club has been struggling with mounting debts over the last decade and has been consequentially relegated to the Hungarian Second Division last year. The club is desperately looking for a new investor to safe the club from going bankrupt and it appears that Englishman Kevin McCabe might have come out as a possible solution: "We are now planning the development of Ferencvaros. Real estate, leisure and football; that's what the business is built on. We'll do the same thing we did with Sheffield. Next to the stadium we have a hotel, restaurant, club, bar and offices. We have similar plans for Ferencvaros. This is what happens if a nation doesn't invest in football. We will do everything we can to give our teams the kind infrastructure they need to play high level football," said McCabe.
