Werder Bremen forward Ivan Klasnić has been deeply grateful for all the support he received after a surgery which almost finished his football career.
27-year old Croatia forward who was born and raised in Germany, has undergone a kidney transplant surgery few months ago which almost put a line under his football career. After a long search for a proper donator, Klasnić received kidney from his mother Šima and is now ready for the first training sessions: "I feel happier than ever. I was waiting for this day for a long time and it finally happened. I do need some time to be ready for action, but I'm feeling very well. We'll see how upcoming trainings will work out," said Klasnić, who was greeted by 400 Werder fans at his first training after the surgery.
