Napoli's Argentine signing Ezequiel Lavazzi scored three goals in their Coppa Italia win against Pisa and became the first player from the southern club to nail a hat trick in 14 years.
Lavezzi , who joined Napoli from Clausura winners San Lorenzo this summer, bagged a treble against Pisa in the Coppa Italia after Vitaly Kutuzov had put the Tuscany club ahead to secure a berth for the Naples outfit in the third round. Lavezzi became the first Napoli player to get a hat trick since Daniel Fonseca scored a treble against Reggiana in 1993. "Lavezzi is a great player and I always watch him in training. He has great assets as well as being very mobile. It was a magic night for him and I hope there will be others before the end of the season. But as well as praising Lavezzi I want to pay tribute for the character my team showed," said Napoli coach Eddy Reja.
