Liverpool have accepted Portsmouth's bid to sign their striker Peter Crouch this summer.
The Reds confirmed on their official website that they have indeed accepted the bid from Portsmouth.
Pompey have now been given the green signal to speak to the player and it is being reported that the deal shall be completed this week.
"We have reached a verbal agreement with Portsmouth and have given them permission to speak with Peter," a spokesman told Liverpool's website.
