Portsmouth have signed the England international striker Peter Crouch for 10 million pounds, according to reports.
The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool have accepted the 10 million pounds from Pompey. Crouch has been linked with a move away from Anfield for the past several weeks and Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed that Crouch is not in his plans for next season.

July 2008)crouch is a good player not world class tho, which is the sort of player we need at liverpool ok barry will be a good addition. but we have torres/gerrard/mascherano/carragher all world class in my opinion. so why not break the bank and get another like ribery/quaresma ect.. in rafa we trust but 18mil on barry 6 on dossena thats 22mill i wud have put on 1 player.

We need more than just Barry. We need a creative midfielder to help break Torres Free. And who is going to replace Crouch, oh sorry i forgot we still have the talent of Voronnin at our disposal

July 2008)I heard an offer has been accepted - £8.75m plus add ons???? not to sure how true this is but I disagree with what alot og people think....I feel we should get rid of Crouchy, I dont think he plays well with Torres, Crouch has no movement and no workrate to assist el nino.. I am not sure this is because Torres is so good and that he is latching onto through passes before Crouch and maybe he looks him look worse than he is!!! Crouch seems like a really good guy and I wish him all the best but dont think he is LFC quality now, Robbie Keane is a lot better and we will still play the LFC way and not just throw up highlong balls and hope for the best............

Portsmouth had a bid of £9m REJECTED and NO OTHER bid has been made as yet although Portsmouth remain keen to buy and are STILL NEGOTIATING with Liverpool.
Chances are that a fee WILL be agreed and Crouch WILL join Portsmouth but at this moment in time Peter Crouch HAS NOT SIGNED FOR ANYONE!!!!!!!!
