Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz is on the verge of becoming the new coach of the Portugal national football team, according to reports.
Gilberto Madail, chairman of Portugal’s footballing affairs, said:
"I am optimistic and I believe that this subject will be closed soon. I have spoken about mid-July but really it could be sooner."
