Portsmouth's manager Harry Redknapp praised the progress of Croatian midfielder Niko Kranjčar who has been in impressive form in recent weeks.
Croatian midfielder Niko Kranjčar has established himself as a first-team regular at Pompey, even though his first season in the Premier League was considered to be below expectations. Pompey manager Harry Redknapp praised Kranjčar for his patience and admitted he played an important role in Portsmouth's impressive beginning of the season which sees them sitting in the sixth place only one point behind Liverpool: "He's been in a great run of form. He's had a run in the side and made that place wide on the left his own. He reminds me a bit of Robert Prosinecki who was here when I first came to the club. If Niko's anywhere near as good as him then he'll be a fantastic player," Redknapp told Portmouth's official website.
