Newly crowned European champions Spain have climbed to the top of the FIFA rankings. They were fourth at the start of last month.
This is the first time since the current ranking system commenced in 1992 that Spain have held the pole position. Italy, who were third last month, have climbed to second while England, who didn't feature in the Euros last month, slipped to 15th in the charts, their lowest position since 2001.
