Liverpool star striker Fernando Torres limped off the pitch in the 23rd minute during last night international match against France

During the last night game Fernando Torres asked his national side manager Luis Aragones to substitute him in 23rd minute of the first half. It was later diagnosed that he had suffered a hamstring sprain making him unavailable for this Sunday's EPL clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Rafa Benitez said (according to skysports): "You cannot play on after an injury like this, it is a big risk. He will not play at Chelsea. We will wait for the result of the scan, but I have no doubt he will miss the weekend."

Later he went to make a few comments about the system in football today and how it's in need of a change as far as it goes for international matches and players involved.
