Zenit St. Petersburg star Andrey Arshaving has emerged as a transfer target for troubled Premiership side Tottenham.
The 26-year-old left-winger currently plays for Zenit St Petersburg, his only professional club to date. He has also been a regular in the Russian side since his debut in 2002. Arshavin was watched in the UEFA Cup recently and should line up against England in the crucial Euro 2008 qualifier next week. Forward, who is considered by many as the best Russian player in the domestic championship, has reportedly been recommended to the Spurs board by Dimitar Berbatov. English media speculates that the transfer fee would be worth approximately nine million euros.
