Van Persie: "We should earn more at Arsenal!"

Published: 30 May 2008
by Extra Football

Robin Van Persie wants bigger wages for him and his teammates.

Dutch attacker is advising his current employers to raise the earning of their players in order to perven massive departure of top players. While Chelsea an Manchester United pay around ł130.000 a week for their star players, Arsenal captain and most paied player only recieves ł80.000 a week. The Dutch international is seriously concerned that player might leave in order to get paide better, like in the case of Flamini.

"I know Arsenal won't pay enormous wages, but they should at least raise them a bit. If you are 27 years old you can make four-times as much money in another club as you can in Arsenal, so I completely understand those who want to leave. If Arsenal were to offer the same amount as other clubs, no one would want to leave," Van Persie told Guardian.

he is not complaining about his salary.. he is just concern the club losing another key player like flamini. robin is a good player. I'm sure he will stay. he is the guy who always talk about togetherness of the squad. That is why he is concern on Flamini departure..

but guys he's not complaining about his saliry is he? he's just speeking in general... and I think he's knows it best of all that he's let people down with his unluck run of injuries, but just wait he'll get strong and avoid injuries and become one of our best player!!!

Yeah Robin - you are a special talent but if you need to start playing a few (more) games and score a few goals before you start going on about MORE money

There is nothing wrong with a general changer in wage structure. Arsenal neds to increase their wage, these boys also need to raise their heads high along side their top 4 clubs. its both about status and future.

Comment Lew (30. May 2008)

the most overhyped, egotistical, ball wasting, injury prone knob end in Arsenal's history

Comment Jacques (south africa) (30. May 2008)

maybe robin should shut his fucking glass jaw!! if he was paid per game and not weekly he would have earned a fraction of what he gets last season!
