Details:

Translation of Auxerre's official name: Auxerre Youth Association. The club was founded in 1905 as a multisport club by L'Abbé Deschamps, the abbot of the Saint-Joseph church of Auxerre. A football section was added in 1906. One of the very few French clubs to own their own stadium - the majority are city-owned. It was previously called Stade de la Route de Vaux but renamed for the club founder after his death in 1950.
