Details:
The founder of Hertha Berlin made a journey on a steamship named the 'Hertha' and decided to name the club after it. The colors of the Hertha shipping company were blue and white, which gave rise to the club's colors. In 1923, merged with Berliner Sport Club and the name was changed to the current Hertha Berlin.
